Hey everyone! My name is Brittany Hamilton! I am the Internship Program Coordinator at Village Mindset and a QMHP-T in Virginia.  I provide case management services to young adults, couples, and families in need. I was born and raised in New Bern, North Carolina. I am a new resident of Virginia. In my free time I most likely am with my friends or my toy terrier Fred. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in public health with a Community Health concentration from East Carolina University in 2018. Post-graduation I worked for a Durable Medical Equipment company in Billing and in Respiratory. I also worked for a mental health agency, and I realized how passionate I was about mental health. It was there that I realized that a lot of people have the credentials but not the passion to work in the field. I decided to return to school and I’m currently working towards obtaining a Master of Social Work from Walden University. I feel like there is such a negative stigma associated with mental health and I want to work to change that.
