Let’s Break Some Generational Curses Together!

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

    – President Barack Obama

    Welcome to Our Village!

Village Mindset, LLC is a virtual social work firm that specializes in counseling, coaching, and consulting services for individuals, families, and couples to aid in crisis stabilization to reduce conflict, link to community resources, and improve their overall quality of life. We focus on empowering parents, building stronger family relationships, normalizing mental health, building generational wealth, and decreasing interactions with the legal system due to divorce, parenting conflict, and childhood maltreatment.

We believe that our families are the foundation of society. It takes a village to raise a child. Well, it also takes a community to support the family that is raising that child. If you are a parent or caregiver, a couple expecting or planning to become parents this is the place for you. If you are a young professional that hopes to one day have a family, however, love and relationships have not been so easy for you in the past then you are in the right place! Our motto is “Never a Failure, Always a Lesson”. Life is a journey. You live and you learn. It is what we do with that knowledge and wisdom that is important.

We strongly believe that if we can heal the Black family system, then we can begin to heal our community and thrive. This first starts with us, unlearning what we think we know about love, relationships, and parenting. Acknowledge what is and isn’t working for us so far as a community. Black Men and Women…It is time that we take care of each other, love each other more, respect each other more, and protect each other more.

So if you are sick of history repeating itself. Want to heal from generational curses. Stop family patterns of behaviors when it comes to divorce, single parenting, financial distress and that 9-5 job, co-parenting drama. Then, it’s time to adjust your crown and walk in your truth. Schedule your 30-minute consultation today to get started on building a new legacy!

“The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.”
    – African proverb

    Compassionate & Professional

We care about you, your family, and your story. You can trust that we will treat you with respect, dignity and compassion in every interaction, while maintaining the highest standards for integrity and ethics.

    Our Philosophy

Village Mindset seeks to evoke a movement where individuals begin to start coordinating and coming together to work together to meet the needs of those that live within their communities. Ms. Broadus chose to provide services virtually because as a Navy brat she learned growing up that family and community are not limited to a physical location, or by blood. Instead, it is defined by a sense of social connectivity. Therefore, Village Mindset, LLC strives to “Serves Communities without Borders.” We connect people to available resources all over. If we are not able to assist you within our organization then, we will find someone within our trusted network of community partners who can. You are not alone.

    Our Mission

Village Mindset seeks to help parents and extended family members understand that if we maintain a village mindset, then we can eradicate the concept of “single parenting”. Children will not have absentee parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or cousins, and therefore they will not feel disconnected from their bloodlines just because their parent’s relationship ended. It is time that we hold our community members accountable. Without strong family bonds, individuals feel lost and alone, and therefore our communities do not thrive. We cannot bring back Black Wallstreet without re-establishing the Black family System and its values of “Family First.”
